'Tis the Season

Last night I was lucky enough to help out my sister station, Lite Rock 107.1 in Delphos as we took part in Trinity United Methodist Church's "Trunk or Treat." What a fun time! Folks backed into their parking space, popped the trunk-and then the fun began! I'm pretty sure my station vehicle, festooned with only two lowly strings of orange lights, was feeling a bit underdressed as the scene unfolded. I saw a giant inflatable pumpkin adorning one car, flashing hand-cut jack 0'lanterns were part of an another's elaborate set up that included a bedecked tent, hay bales and strobe lights. One SUV was outfitted with a "Telling Ghost Stories at Camp" tableau-complete with a campfire mockup on which to toast marshmallows! Then came the costumed kids to claim the candy! A few hundred stopped by over the course of the evening. A big thank you to Pastor Dave Howell for making me feel so welcome, and to the woman who brought her famous homemade donuts...I'm sure they must make 'em like that in Heaven!!
